MEMORABLE EVENTS OF "DEVELOPMENT DIALOGUE"

This is a three days programme held by Deshpande Foundation.

Ist DAY 27th

"Development Dailogue"

I have participated in three days "Development Dailogue". This is a wonderful experiance for me. "Development Dailogue" is such a event for this, programme all over India and world level many NGO Deligates have participated. This event collaborated many ideas because various contries Resource Persons has involved and this event made them to talk about development issues.

Developement Dailogue First day has started with nice Tiffin, during it I met many Reputed personalities and discussed about their organisation and about their work in that organisation. I registered After having breakfast we went by our plan to look developmental work in various places-

1. Water Literacy Foundation- In Hubli this foundation has working for collecting rain water and it has started in a school.

2.Habitat India- It has been working in villages to build houses by less amount, we visited and collected information from them.

Lead Fellows has opened shops about their project related information, we fellows visited their shops and took information reguarding their projects. few projects are-

• Blood Line.
• Development AID for disabled children.
• Bus Timing Board.
• Knowledge is unbeatable power.
• Maths made easy.
  
  Evening LEAD MELA has started DESH, JAYASHREE and B.V.B. principle were present on that occation and NAVEEN was on the stage. Program each and every moment was memorable. In this programme DESH has appriciated LEAD work in HUBLI and announced next lead mela LEADERS target is to generate 10,000 Leaders in SANDBOX.

LEADERSHIP ACTIVITY 1

"luck is not in ur hand, but work is in ur hand, ur work can make luck but luck can't make ur work"

"For successfull result there should be a strong plan"

I thought i woulb join with someone for leadership activity but I din't get chance and came back to hostel. I thought why should not I frame a plan myself, according to the plan Sunday Shekhar and I went to market and purchased row materials, after that we reached to hostel.

We all (Chandrashekhar, Gayatri, Lata and me) have conducted a Leadership activity in "Social welfare hostel". Shekhar has called and took permission from warden to perform activity. In that hostel there are 24 girls studing in high school. Our target group was high school girls. These girls were very active.

We prayed to God, after that Shekhar instructed all girls to give a shape to the paper, all girls made their own things, like boat, frog, camera. it helped us to get their concentration towards our activity.

Shekhar as an instucter and after that their is a result of creative things.

I divided all 24 girls in three groups and instucted them their work should be appropriate, they have to concentrate on words and obsorve the thing how to make it. I have distributed materials, Lata and Gayatri has instucted two groups. I iniciated all groups.

Starting I got tention how could I manage the things but







"We all instucting to inmate Girls.friends" (Chandrashekhar, Gayatri and Lata) support has given me strenth. I learnt more from them their words and support inspired me towards work.

In school girls also have too much interest to learn things, they have that much of pations. In three hours activity all those girls were in room and once also they didn't tire.



Lastly we made a perfect doll adding three group efforts. Nice experiance with those Children.

LEADERSHIP ACTIVITY

According to Deshpane fellowship rules, as a Deshpane fellow we have to perform Leadership activity. This activity should be perform in community, there should be a massage for community people and our activity should have some strong vision.

If we are going to perform a skit it has to be related with social problem. by that skit we change the view of society in positive manner.

Rules for Leadership activity

In a month all fellows have to perform 8 leadership activities, 4 as a leader and 4 as a follower. But in these they must conduct as a leader one activity and as a follower one activity than only they can continue there fellowship for remaining months.

MORNING

Today morning our class is on blog study ASHUTOSH and TIPPANNA has conducted it they explained various options which is helpful for learning about blog. They explained about adding photo, setting, and layout in blog. Both are talented and they gave instructions in each and every moment, with using audio visual aids they. This is good method of teaching.

Afternoon

Mr. Venugopal one of the big personalities has our guest speaker of today session. He worked as law college lecturer in J.S.S. College Mysore. He is having different kind of personality. He involved whole class and describe the meaning of “social entrepreneurship” using various methods and with all fellows involvement.

About Orientation Program

21/01/09 wednesday
Second day has started with a game called Icebreakers Game Taryan mam instructor for that game, the game rule was, we had to “create a picture and it represent our-self”. All 22 fellows has drown their own ideas about their representation, after that we all presented it in our own way. I draw about myself in three different pictures and explained.
Those few pictures are eye (I want to donate my eye after my death), lotus (it represents our nation I love my INDIA), Hill and flowing water (I want to flow like river and reach to sea).
After that Taryan collected our expectations - from “Deshpande fellowship programme”, from “staff” members, from “Self”. These three made all the fellows to think about in whole fellowship programme what efforts we have to put towards reach our goal.
Among 12 Sand Box fellows 11 from USA, 1 from UK. In those three fellows came and met us, those are -
1. Rebecca Kline (BAIF).
2. Lesley (Water literacy foundation).
3. Liza (Vidya poshak).
We took information about their work experience in different organizations. They shared what are the challenges they faced, we clarified our doubts, and our discussion was good.

Before lunch we gave our introduction through chart. Sand box fellows and NGO representatives observed my chart. This moment is unforgettable for me because first time such a different passion I introduced myself.


After lunch we visited to jail in jail COHORT II fellows has performed leadership activities, we performed skits and after completing, jailor has appreciated and he gave a suggestion to perform this kind activities in Dharwad jail also.
Night we had our dinner with Deshpande Staff members, one memorable day end with memorable events.

Reflaction DFP First day

Hi,
I am sharing my experience first day on orientation-
On 20/01/09, Early morning our orientation has started with a game, that game was "Rock, paper, Cesar" Taryan has given all the instructions about game, we enjoyed.
First Naveen sir has taken our class. The class has related with DCSE brief introduction, it means staff members, 6 months activities related information. In class Naveen sir asked us if we have any doubt ask them but i was unable to ask Sir, because after passing few days i am little fearing about Sir.
after N. sir class we had some delicious food, There is a one good thing-in this lunch "We all had our lunch to gather".
after having lunch we prepared our chart about "Introduction". Than Chinnababu has repeated policy and procedures. In the evening we came back to Home. nearly 7:30 we went again and met to "lead activities" teams. it was amazing because they are from engineering background their innovative ideas are really great. N. sir has given a plate form to those students, it's helpful to those leaders to create new views and impalement.
we all had our dinner together. after that we came to Home and practised skit in that skit my role is a woman her husband has come out from jail. after practicing this i went to bed.
These sessions has made me to think each and every minute about my future.
