Eco-tourism is one of the excited and adventurous module for cohort II fellows; it’s a different kind of experience for all, staying away from city and experiencing nature has attracted me towards nature.
2009 1st May all cohort II fellows started their journey towards
Kalbhavi (Dandeli). First we visited Bison River Resort, the place has covered by forest and it’s a tourism place. It has a river called ‘kali’ this river is having black color water but it is pure. It is becoming famous tourist place.
- In evening all fellows went to visit syntheri rocks. It has created by nature in forest area and kaneri river is flowing her.
Second day of eco-tourism early morning permission taken by forest office in Nagjhari and cohort-II fellows went inside the forest for tracking and on the way near Nagjhari few minutes we spent on nature visit. After 2 k.m. Sathkanda falls is there and it has rocky area and thick forest.
Third day our journey started early morning towards kavla Caves its near Nagjhari. It’s a thick forest area in deep inside forest animals stay there.
Skit practice and game preparation by fellows. And evening played those games by fellows to village children.
Early in the morning 7 to 8 is the right time for watching for watching Birds is good, before watching birds some of the instruction given by instructor.
In the initiation of instructor Birds watching by fellows has carried on near lake. By reading book and showing photos by instructor we studied about nature.
